Breastfeeding: How do you get comfortable with baby when they get bigger?
My son is now 3 months old 16 lbs and getting really long and heavy
I have a breastfeeding pillow & I’m finding it hard to keep him ON IT .
He keeps wiggling around & wants to flail his arms around
Makes it really difficult to get him to latch on and eat
Any suggestions?
I quit using the nursing pillow when my son was around 2 months old. He is now 9 months old. You can just rest his head in the crook of your arm and let his legs rest on your opposite thigh. Your arm may be tired the first couple of days but you will get used to it. If you bring the leg that is below his head and curl it under and sit on it, your arm will have something to rest on. Also when using this position, make sure that his chest and pelvis is laying flat against your body. This will keep him from wiggling so much.
I enjoy lying down and nursing him but we only do this first thing in the morning and at bedtime. He has recently quit waking for middle of the night feedings in the last couple of weeks and we would also use the lying down position for those feedings.
I want to start my own Christian night club. How would I get started? Are there any good websites to check out
What are all the things I would need to do to be successful at owning my own club? I’m really serious about this, so only serious answers please!!! Thanks for all your help!
It does depend where you are in the world.
If UK I really would start by contacting your local diocese youth officers.
This could lead to all sorts of support both financially and on how to get the whole thing started. Including perhaps help with finding the right premises.
I wish you well anything to help young Christians express themselves and to dispel the myth that to be a Christian means giving up having fun and joy in your life.
I am full term, and my doctor will be inducing me at the end of the week if I can’t get it started myself. I’ve read that if you pump, you will have contractions. Well, I’ve been pumping for 4 hours straight now, alternating breasts every 20-30 minutes, but still no contractions… have I just not been doing it long enough or is my pump (Madela Pump-In-Style Advanced [shoulder bag]) not strong enough to bring on contractions or what?
Also, please don’t tell me to not try to do things to induce labor. I’m 42 weeks 1 day and my daughter is (estimated by ultrasound) over 10 lbs. I’m going to try anything I can.
I would stop pumping, try hot curry (spice hot) raspberry leaf tea or sex, sex is the best as the sperm can help induce you it has something in it that brings on labour. If the hospital induce you the gel works in the same way as sperm does!!
With castor oil be prepared to be sick, my mum did this and said it made her sick and that’s what bought on the contractions.
Would you buy this for your baby? If so, how much would you pay?
I am trying to begin a home buisness saleing hand made baby items like diaper bags, toddler bags, name banners, small baby quilts, and bib gift sets. All items would be cross stiched. Toddler bags and diaper bags would come with bottle/sippy elastics and velcro closers. They would also be personalized with a name and designs like dinosaurs, butterflies, ballarinas, farm/ tractor, princesses, sports, and Precious momments. The bibs would be grouped in two per set and framed. They would feature, storks or nursery rhymes, etc. The banners would be easy to hang and the colors would be customizable. They would also feature the designs found on the bags.
Since there are so many parents on here, I just wanted to ask. Would you be interested in something like this for your child? If so, please tell me how much you would pay per bag, bib set, name banner, and quilt.
Thank you.
I think that is a wonderful idea, I wish i could sew and stitch and such but i cant so yeah i would buy. You should set your prices on how much time and effort you put into your products. The size of a diaper bag is also a factor. Materials, fabrics used is also something to consider. Homemade quilts go for a pretty penny. Especially if you do cross stich cause that is soo time consuming and if its personalized it makes it all the more special. Its hard for someone else to to say what price is reasonable cause were not the ones who are taking the time to make these things. You could look in the internet and see what others are priceing their products just to give you an idea. You can even make your own website to show off your products. I hope all goes well for you. Good luck
